Hilton HHonors - Overnight at DEN: HGI, Homewood, or Hampton?

Will be returning a car at DEN and then will need an overnight before a next morning's flight.

The price for the HGI, Homewood Suites, and Hampton are roughly the same (the ES is MUCH more expensive).

Any of these three to be definitely preferred? I know the Hampton is on Tower road and much (?) closer to the airport/rental car facilities.

I'm leaning toward the Homewood....

How are you getting from the rental car to the hotel, and from the hotel to the airport? If they all offer a shuttle, I'd go with the HS unless you're looking to maximize airline miles on anyone other than BMI, at which point I'd go with the HGI. Either way, you're getting a bed and a free breakfast... not much difference for that kind of stay. If it's a Sun-Thurs night, you'll get dinner at the HS too.

Will check in at the hotel, take the rental car back, and if the hotel shuttle will come there will do that; otherwise take the rental car shuttle to the airport and then call the hotel shuttle.

Then will take the hotel to shuttle to the airport in the morning.

(Yes, I know I could cut out the middle man and just take the car back in the morning, but for several other reasons would prefer not to do that and just to be dropped curbside at the airport by the hotel shuttle).

All three properties appear to have 24 hour airport shuttles.

If they all have a shuttle to the airport and a method to get back to the property that night, I'd pick solely on the type of property you prefer, or airline miles if you're doing fixed miles other than BMI.

Ended up choosing the Homewood Suites.

What an excellent choice. Nice upgrade to a one-bedroom, exactly in the location I had requested in the comments. Friendly and competent staff, and, by far, the best breakfast at a Homewood I've ever encountered.
