American Express Membership Rewards - Amex's "Director of International Premium Products" moves to DeBeers

Just reading a news item this morning:

"DeBeers Diamond Jewelers has named Rob Cheng its new marketing director. Cheng was the former director of International Premium Products for American Express, managing the Centurion, Platinum and Gold portfolios.

DeBeers Diamond Jewelers, with 46 stores worldwide, said it hired Cheng to help 'push the business forward' and 'develop globally'."

Some would say that his current practices are much better suited for an abusive monopoly like DeBeers.
