Has anybody else noticed the dog rest area @ T5. It is pretty much under the skywalk from the airtrain on the baggage claim level. If you look down from the departure level sidewalk near the skywalk you can see it. It was complete with fake blue fire hydrants and a picket fence to enclose the area. Is this for any JetBlue passenger with a dog to use or is it only for the airline staff to take out dogs in transit?

It is there because of a new regulation that took effect May 13th that requires airlines to ensure that passengers traveling with "service animals" (IE guide doge, etc) have access to relief areas for their working animals. Although having one per airport is enough, every terminal at JFK is in the process of putting one somewhere.
