This warning is from first hand experience. I placed a reservation at the Microtel near LAS for a "Queen Jacuzzi Room". When I arrived at the hotel, they had me down for a "2 Queen Room", sans Jacuzzi. The desk clerk, who was very nice, said they were all booked for the night and could not give me the Jacuzzi room. This was not the first time, as it's happened times before. Spoke to the GM the next morning, and she was also super. I had no problems with the way they attempted to handle things at the hotel level. I did promise her that I would write a letter to corporate.

... which I did. The brand senior VP called and followed up by emails totally blaming the hotel for not being on board with the process. "You know how these franchisees are..." was the way of passing the buck away from the Wyndham/Microtel's corporate IT and onto the backs of the individual hotel. It was supposedly an easy fix at the hotel level, but corporate IT was very LAZY in not confirming with each hotel that it had been done. IMHO, it would have taken little time and would have made sure reservations were coming through correctly. She left a very bad taste in my mouth... so bad that I cancelled a future two night reservation that I had with Microtel and booked with someone else more convenient (and not with Wyndham).

Anyway, please double check your reservations with Microtel, especially if they are for a non-standard room.

The sheer set of room types across the mess of Wyndham brands gives me a headache. You never know quite what you'll get with a Wyndham.
