Fairmont President's Club - Upgrade Fairmont Empress Rsvtion now or at Checkin?

I booked a week's stay at the Fairmont Empress in Victoria when they had their wonderful spring sale earlier this year.
I now wish I had chosen one of their gold floor rooms, which was an excellent deal, and I would love a harbor view.
If I upgrade now would they upgrade at the difference in price at that time or the difference in price now? Am I likely to get a better price now or at checkin?

My guess is you'll be charged the current price.

They work for Gold Floors as well.

Oh, ok. Well, I guess you can just call and see if they can upgrade based on the previous rates then. Good luck.
