West - DEN pretty messed up this afternoon... (19 June 09)

Evidently there is "weather" on the East Coast and a security breach in the terminal earlier that is contributing to many delayed flights. I was trying to get on a 5:20 to IAH, instead of my scheduled 7:27, and they are saying the earlier flight is on a 7:40 decision. Guess I'm staying with my original schedule.

On an interesting note, a co-worker who was booked DEN to SJC (which was delayed by "crew" according to UA) tried to get on standby to SFO and was told that "SFO and SJC are only co-terminal during irregular ops". Not sure how much more "irregular" things can get around here right now !!!

My flight DEN-SAN is delayed. Was 9:36pm, then 10:00pm, then 10:15pm, now 10:45pm.

I'm waiting out a delay in DFW anyway. Flight to DEN was 7:38pm, now 8:00pm (so far).

One of those days.

You know, we just can't seem to win in Denver. The weather is actually nice and everything should be running on time, but leave it to the east coast to screw things up for us. :D

DEN-SAN is now 1215am. DFW-DEN anybody's guess, looks like 1000pm-ish.

I blame Chicago. Great city, bad choice for a hub.

Not sure about the weather but the security breach was pretty brief - the trains were only stopped for 1/2 hour. Apparently somebody brought a knife through security and boarded a plane before being caught.
