I saw few bargains here after checking 4 of my fav hotels. Also its somewhat of a sham as they are comparing the fully refundable rates to the non-refundable 2-4-1 rates.

Check the Visa 25% off rates -- they may still be better.

I noticed that rates that were US$155 per night are now $215 per night for this promotion. (checking the Ramses Hilton in Cairo)

This is basically the "January sale" in June. Not useful at all for what I need.

Definitely check the Visa promo rates, but remember it covers only Hiltons (not ES, DT, HGI, etc).

Nothing really exciting. I currently get 25% on the Advance Payment rate in Germany and Austria - by far better than this offer.

With the 2 for 1 was able to drop my Madrid Hilton 2 adults twin rate from 99E to 85E over three nites and now breakfast included.

Interestingly - I'd booked a non-refundable rate which the Euro reservation desk refused to change, however another call to the US Reservations worked.

At least looking at Berlin & Prague, this rate is FAR better than the other options.

I guess I must have been missing something as I am looking at end of July/Early August rates. Those were the best available. The cheapest Advanced Purchase rate that I see for the Hilton Berlin is 175 Euro.

Is there some code you are using (if so, I'd love to be able to use it as well).

Hiltons summer PROMO this year are not serious. During spring Hilton Malmö offer room for 840 SEK. The same day the summer PROMO was given, this prices are taken away. 2 nights are now with this summer "promo" for 1680SEK. This is a promo with almost no value. I made a booking for September, again the old price 840 SEK is there. This summer in Scandinavia, you can stay at Hilton - stay one night and pay for one -

The 2-4-1 rate is good value for the hotels I am interested in - and it shows up on the rate list even when searching for a 1 night stay.

My question is: is it OK to book a 2-4-1 rate and stay only one night? Will they honor that rate - or renege at check-in?

EDIT: checked in this evening without any problems, made full use of the exec lounge... will post tomorrow to report on checkout

Considering the rate includes breakfast, this was very good compared with lastminute.com etc rates.

Checked out this morning, no queries at all 'that's a prepaid rate so just need to charge the extras'. It seems like some hotels are choosing to offer that rate for one night... go :Dahead

Just tried getting a price for this promo at the Hilton Moorea. No such luck. I was informed that this hotel was no longer participating in the deal. :rolleyes:

Do you get something extra as a Gold or Diamond when you book a rate that includes breakfast already ?

Since thats usually my amenity I guess I should get something else, right ?

I booked some time ago 5 nights in Hilton Phuket for September, using Best Available Rate without breakfast. I wanted to wait for August 1st to see if any promotion would show up, as 2-4-1 promo ends on August 31st!

10 minutes ago I received an email from Hilton, with a link to their resorts. When I checked for the hotel above for my exact dates in September I could see the 2-4-1 rate available, at same rates as in August. I changed my reservation and I am now booked in a better room (before upgrade) and with guaranteed breakfast, for 15% less. Not 50% better, but overall more satisfied :)

It might be worthwhile checking other properties in September, Hilton could be extending the dates for this promo!

Booked for Hilton Phuket for 26Aug - 31Aug! Can't wait!

I checke dmy booking at Hilton Phuket (22-27.09) in more detail and it seems I will pay 50$ extra because I was not paying extra attention. Rate for 22-25.09 is 2880 THB/night, while rate for 25-27.09 is only 2030 THB.

Before you book this rate in September, check difference in rates, as some hotels might offer the 2-4-1 rate also for the weekdays :)
