Was looking at going to Hawaii in October, but the few hotels that offer cash & points don't also allow you to upgrade using points until arrival. That's ok as I expect low season will allow me to do that, but I was wondering what the board consensus was on which *wood properties that accept cash & points were the best. I am looking for beach locations first and foremost, anywhere really, followed by hotels that allow you to upgrade using points.

I know some hotels don't show c&p as an option on the SPG website yet do offer it at some points thru the year, I just need help narrowing the list of potentials down.

The week of your stay as well as duration would help greatly.

Ssome hotels that don't show C&P as an option on the SPG website may have C&P availability on most days. For example, if a property has C&P available only on Oct 1-4 and Oct 5-9, a search for C&P stay Oct 1-9 will show no availability. Search each individual day and then decide whether you are willing to book a paid or points stay for the remaining days.

Good luck!

...and if you don't see C+P available, CALL IN.

At least half the time the phone agent can get it when I don't see it on the website ! ^

Just as an FYI, that should have been fixed recently, So, if you see any outliers now, please let Thyetus or I know the name of the hotel so the web gurus can look into it further.

Glad to hear that it should be fixed.

Probably the 2nd week in October, for 5-7 nights.

Great news, that saves a lot of uncertainty/checking.

I have 10+ Cash and Points nights in China next month,
thinking of adding the new property in Urumqi !

C+P really helps make a classy trip when money is tight.
Thanks again for the great program !

Is it still the case where you can call the hotel to get some more C+P opened up? I'm trying to extend a C+P stay by one day and haven't seen any inventory for the day we need (I check multiple times per day).

The news keeps getting better and better on the SPG web front ^^

I did this a few weeks ago. Made one reservation at a Cat 3 on c+p, then realized I needed a second room, they put me on hold and a few minutes later I had it.
