Just wondering if anybody else has noticed the rather eerie silence on this forum, compared with for instance M&M or UA Mileage Plus? I guess the exodus from FB due to April Fools' day has taken place :D

Compared to the United forum, there are probably less members of FB and thus meaning less people on Flyertalk who have FB as programme.

Not even close to as many actives here than on, say BA´s, any US program´s or even BMI´s forum as this is an English speaking site. Same goes for all non-English speaking country´s flag carrier subforum.

But yes. I´ve noticed the same too. But as business is slow, so is airtravel.

It's also vacation season... maybe people are busy enjoying themselves.

Maybe there isn't much to complain about these days.

Why complain about AFKL and FB if you are no longer flying them or using them?

AFKL might argue that axing the FB program is netting them less negative internet comments as those that give a damn have long gone.

I know a ton of people that have left FB-AF/KL... And I am proud to be one of them!!!

This means less posts on FT in this forum!

Ciao

Same here.

So browsing less frequently and less information to post.

same here. only 3K miles so far this year, and looking at ending the year at 5K.

Me too, I left at the beginning of the year. I still have over 400K to burn, but I am not sure if I will or not.

I am now a very happy CO Gold member and get treated well.

I have left too.

A large article was published in De Telegraaf (largest Dutch newspaper) about the grievances of the FB members and the impact it had on KL/AF. Unfortunately I was donating to OneWorld at the time, so I have not read the actual article. Maybe somebody here has it?

Here (http://www.telegraaf.nl/reiskrant/4029476/__Flying_Blue__vlieg-of-ik-schiet__.html) it is! Dutch only though.

And another one (http://www.telegraaf.nl/reiskrant/3970252/__Punt_voor_de_loyale_reiziger__.html)(prelude to the one above).

I don't feel like translating but rest assured: it is bashing KLM and FB hard. Really hard. Also coming up with multiple examples of lost revenue due to the changes.

I'm happy to report just two AF segments this year, and that's on a redemption and only because KE didn't have award seats available. Oh, I did also take two paid KL segments. Paid with a DBC voucher, of course!

I'm doing a RTW and, after the "charming" experience I had from Madrid, I changed the CDG-PRG C flight to one op by OK. Will return from DKR on AF, but at least the miles will go to OK+!

Management in France should be thrilled. It looks like their clever plan is working.

Sadly, I have a long segment on DL coming up that I just can't switch to a *A carrier. With the miles I earn I will top up what's left of my account so I can afford one of those $1000 free tickets.

Not for much longer if you believe some reports! (NB Unconfirmed)

I left too! I'm now a happy gold soon to be plat on DL skymiles. No paid flight in AF for 2 years, still a few miles to burn... and 2 TATL segments to come on AF, but part of a DL award ticket.
I don't miss FB, or AF for that matter, a bit.
