Cathay Pacific Asia Miles - No Krug in First on USA-HKG flights?

I just read that there is NO Krug anymore in first class from US-HKG.. Is this true and does this "new" policy extend to all CX flights? Thanks...

May 29 - LAX to HKG (F) had Krug. Return - HKG - LAX (F) (880) did not have Krug.

If it is the Deutz Amour then it is of comparable value and standard. I wouldn't be complaning too much. They were serving this during their 60th Anniversary celebrations a couple of years ago and it was quite nice.

Frankly I wouldn't mind Krug one direction, and another high-end bottle in the other, always fun to compare ^

My recent South Asia *A award redemption featured Krug, Bollinger, and Taittinger Comptes de Champagne. I wasn't at all complaining that TG has substituted Dom for Bollinger on the HKG route...

I suspect that even Cathay's penny pinchers will not go so far as to downgrade F to cheap or non-vintage champagnes. However they have been smart enough to substitute vintage port with 10 year old tawny.

Anyway, flew SFO-HKG on 30th July and, despite it not appearing in the wine list, Krug was most certainly served onboard.

I was on CX 879 from SFO-HKG in F on August 10th and there was no KRUG. They had Champagne Amour De Deutz, Blanc de blanc 1999. Kind of disappointed but the on board service was impeccable and very well made up for that. F Menu will be posted soon.

We had Krug in F on SFO-HKG on July 23rd. The FAs said it has still been appearing from time to time and on that flight, it had been loaded and designated as "pre-departure".
