I'm heading to Spain this week and noticed Hertz offers a few variations of insurance. What is the difference between Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) and Super Cover?

The Super Cover eliminates entirely your liabiity in case of an accident (where your CDW will leave you with some sum you have to cover) and theft (where your TP- theft protection also leaves you with a sum you have to pay). With the Super CDW you're free of all this.

Being a member of IAPA (http://www.iapa.com/flashhome/index.cfm) they will cover the cost, so you don't need the SCDW. Really blilliant, IAPA membership pays for itself after a couple of short rentals.

Safe and happy driving :-)

IAPA membership looks interesting - I'll check it out.
