Hertz - Getting Gold?

I have finally signed up for the Hertz # 1 Club Gold. I understood from the details on the BMI Diamond Club website, that I would be joining as a Gold member without the requirement 3 more rentals, but I think my status for my account on the Hertz site is showing up only as "#1". Does anyone know how i can get my status listed as gold? (tried mailing Hertz, but no response). I want to make a booking for LAX next week but want to get the this sorted before I do.

In order to get Gold service you have to do a rental first where you go to the counter and they verify your CC and DL. After that, your name will be on the board and you just proceed out to the lot to your assigned stall. When I got Gold, I did a one day rental at a local office and that counted.

How do I know if I can just go to my car, does it tell me some where on the reservation?

If your name is on the gold board, then you can just go to the car. If you name is not on the board, then you will have to go to the counter since you wouldn't know which car you were assigned anyways.

When you make your reservation, the reservation confirmation will say something like the text below if you can go right to the car (this is the first three lines of the next reservation I have)

But you can not do the first rental as gold by going right to the car, you need to go to the counter for that one and they need to see the license and all that.

Any reservations you had before you were gold, you need to call or e-mail them and ask they move them to gold for you.
