I just got back from my latest trip and the sixth trip for my HP Mini and since replacing an old iBook with an HP Mini as my traveling companion I have been having some outright friendly encounters with the TSA and CATSA concerning my little laptop.

They seem to be quite taken by it and begin to inquire about its price, and features and battery life. Informing them I paid only $400 for mine as configured results in looks of amazement.

It might not be the most professional situation, but it is a huge improvement from being called "whitey" and having my Compaq laptop thrown six feet at LAX.

Inquiring minds want to hear more about this incident? :D

They are probably trying to figure out how to list all the ones they take from bags on e-bay :D

I went through security a month ago with a Sony P-Series. It's smaller than most netbooks and lighter. The woman pushing the bins jokingly said that she wished everyone had one. Less for her to lift and inspect is what she seemed to mean.
