JetBlue TrueBlue - Grrr! Can't book at Company Blue website due to defect!

Well once again B6's website has made my life just that much more fun.

I am trying to book a last minute business trip, and company policy requires that I book via Company Blue.

Tonight when attempting to pay for the flight, a Bill Me Later screen fades in and prevents my entering my credit card information, rendering it impossible to complete the transaction. This Bill Me Later screen cannot be minimized or clicked off as an annoying pop up ad. The only way to get rid of it is to hit the back button and then to refresh the screen, whereby the process starts anew.

After trying three times (including restarting the rebooking process twice) I gave up and called B6.

9 minute hold. No special number for IT support or for Company Blue.

While on hold, I was able to squeeze in a booking via the regular B6 website, quickly getting my payment in before the Bill Me Later screen of death appeared. Now I get to explain to the company why I was non compliant in the booking.

Eventually a B6 agent answers, I explain, and she puts me on hold some more. After some time, she stated that phone booking fees would be waived.

She also told me that B6 is experiencing difficulties.

I asked her why couldn't they just put a message on the home page alerting customers to that fact?

I requested that she pass a message along to B6 IT with this suggestion. She said that was not her job to do so.

So boo to Jet Boo for the web glitch, boo for the lack of quick customer support and yay to the phone fee being waived. Another boo to Jet Boo for the jobsworth attitude of the employee.

Fortunately I don't need to fly B6 often.

Update: the fun never ends!

Now the boarding pass/on line check in is not working! When you hit the green get boarding pass button, it is supposed to pull up a PDF of the boarding pass. This yields an error message and no boarding pass.

Clicking on the OLCI FAQ is of no help, it get a "knowledge server error."

Trip is off to a Jetting Boo start!

Have you tried using a different browser? Jetblue's website tends to act strange when I use Safari. Try using Firefox if you're not already - it offers the best compatibility.

(though JetBlue should really work to ensure that their website works across all browsers)

I friend of mine called me this morning and told me that the website appears to be down and sure enough I am not able to open the regular site at all (broken link page shows instead) and I also can't access the mobile web page on my BlackBerry. What is going on? I tried with Google Chrome and with IE
