Not long ago in this (http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/asiana-club/962853-asiana-fas-might-know-your-booking-class.html)thread we discovered that it is actually not very clear which booking class on OZ earns how many miles.

While OZ provides detailed lists for all partner airlines, they have not published this list for themselves.

I will try to maintain a list in this thread for our reference so it is easier to see how many miles you will get before booking a ticket.

Please reply to this thread or PM me if you have additional details or corrections.

A, F 150%
Z, D, C 125%
J 100%

Y, B, Q, E, K, H, M, S 100%
G, T 80%
V, W 70%
L, O, I, X 0%

Great idea for a thread. H earns 100% as per my experience. I'm surprised the J only earns 100%. Glad I didn't credit any of my J OZ flights to Asiana Club.

Another strange one is that when flying AC Z Class, you only earn 100%.:td:

It would be helpful to know about how much more percentage-wise one can expect to pay for 100% earning fare classes versus 70% & 80% earning fare classes.

i have first hand confirmation for L : no mileage
Came as a surprise since, when I bought the ticket, the discount was less than the 50% threshold and there was no mention on NO MILEAGE usually shown in the website for the special deal.

I just filed a complain at ICN, stand firmly in the first lounge and have extra advance payment...

Keep you informed of the first misstep in my love affair with OZ so far.
I am not sure how it will be handled

Anyway interesting test of their attention paid to Diam+

How does one find out the booking class before purchasing with OZ? They currently have a good rate from SFO to BKK, but I noticed that when I tried to find the Booking Class on their website, it was not displayed. I called Asiana customer support and was told that the booking class could not be revealed until I actually booked the ticket...
I'd rather not take a chance of not getting miles esp. on a long haul flight, so if anyone can give me a hint as to how to find the booking class before purchasing, I'd appreciate it!

Other than calling or working through a TA I wouldn't know a reliable way either.
Maybe one can try to have a look at the published fares via KVS/Expertflyer and try to match the price with what is offered on the website?

Thanks DownUnderFlyer - it looks like Expertflyer Premium accounts can show the Booking Class.

Wow! Did they give an explanation (other than L doesn't earn miles)?

I have an upcoming Air Canada reservation, the international legs book into A class and the domestic and flights to the US book into L class. Are these eligible for miles? I don't want to get screwed by Asiana again.

I am not sure what the question is. The earning's table for AC flights is pretty clear. http://au.flyasiana.com/Global/AU/en/homepage?fid=CLUB14300. Only very few booking classes on AC earn any miles at all for OZ MC.

Or are you actually flying OZ with an AC issued ticket?

Just that I did not carefully read the T&C of the fare, which might be true, but since I am used to book on their website, I knew where to spot the non mileage fare, this time took me by surprise.

I understand their answer since I can be of bad faith. Still, it is a dent to their service in my perspective.

I am flying on AC with an AC issued ticket.

If you look at the booklet
http://cn.flyasiana.com/Global/upload/download/club/club_guideline_en.pdf

It states
100%
Y, B, H, L, M, O, Q, S, U, V, A, (K, E, G, N, P, R, T : International routes except Canada↔U.S.A)

No Miles
X, D, W (K, E, G, N, P, R, T :Canada domestic or international route of Canada↔U.S.A)

So I am confused if my reservation with has both International, US, and Domestic legs would be able to earn on OZ.

My routing is
ICN-YVR-YEG-YYC-LAS/YQG-YYZ-YVR-NRT so its a good chunk of miles to lose out on. ICN-YVR and YVR-NRT book into A and the rest book into L.

I don't see what you're confused about. Your flights are either A or L which are both in 100% category. ??

Exactly. All clear. As a site note, for housekeeping purposes this is the thread for the OZ earning table, not *A.

I propose to put this thread as a Sticky. It seems like it has some very useful information when it comes to status miles on different booking class.

Do the *A earnings rates shown on the Asiana website apply to both RDM and EQM? Specifically, I am flying on an SQ ticket in C class. If I credit the flights to Asiana, will I earn 125% EQM and RDM?

I was checking out the redemption chart on the Asiana web site. I do not see a minimum mile credit for flying on UA or US. It is there for several other airlines. Does anyone know what the minimum miles is?

For UA metal, it's actual miles flown. There is no minimum credit.

Hi,

My itinerary (trans-pac via American airlines) includes OZ104 as S-economy. How much mileage does this class earn? 0%?
Thanks.

I don't think we have information about this booking class. Maybe you can report back after the flight?

100%. I had the same experience; AA TPAC includes OZ (ICN-PVG S class). At that time, I got 100% mileage.
