Air New Zealand Air Points - Business Premier fare has gone down since I bought ticket-do I have options?

I really stretched my budget to fly Business - and now the fare is $5482 instead of $5644.
Not a huge difference, but every bit helps.
Is there any sort of price protection I can inquire about? I am booked in Business Saver.
Thank you.

I guess you could cancel your ticket and book a new one.
What's the cancellation fee for your current ticket?
Edit: Cancellation fee is apparently $300 for business saver tickets, so cancelling the ticket and booking a new one wouldn't be a money-saving option.

No "price protection" on fares in this part of the world....
I buy... and then stop looking!!! ;) Saves any stress.......

I am curious , why do we never see any threads that say -'I bought my ticket and now the price has increased . Where should I send the extra money that I owe the airline ? ' :D

YOU BAD MAN!!!! :D
Maybe someone can tell me - in a similar vein - how to re-do my recent US$ purchases at todays rate of .81 , rather than the .76 I got a few weeks ago....;)
Such thoughts only occur - naturally - to those of us used to biting the bullet on fares and then living with the result....
..although I believe even UA now have fees attached to refaring after a fare reduction....
