Spain/Portugal/Gibraltar - Stuck in madrid!

Good Afternoon
I will be heading off to Tangier,Morocco for a few weeks for a nice vacation. All looked well until Iberia decided to change there schedule, i now found out i have 12 hours in madrid on the way to Tangier and 11 hours on the way back
On the way to morocco i arrive in madrid from dublin at 9:40 P.M and my flight to tangier isnt till the following day at 11 40 a.m. On the way back arriving from tangier i arrive at 11:55 P.m and my flight to dublin is at 12:25 P.M the follow day. Question is what to do at that time of night? i have a laptop and i know madrid has wifi but im skeptical about bringing my 2700 dollar laptop to morocco. Any help would be appreciated

Why not book a hotel for the overnight stays? There's a nice, new Hilton near the airport.

Madrid is also a city where you could almost get away with partying all night. Madrilenos will just be getting started with their evenings out when you arrive, so you could skip the hotel and go bar-hopping.

Don't bother taking your $2700 laptop. If you really want to stay connected, buy an inexpensive and lightweight netbook.

Im assuming Madrid Airport has a 24 hour kiosk were i can put my hand luggage away? Bar hopping sounds like a good idea, hopefully iberia can put my baggage all the way through both ways!
