While in Italy on a trip I got an email saying that my return flight MXP-TLV on Saturday (6 days from the day of the mail) has been cancelled. They will probably accomodate me on the day flight. What am I entitled to in terms of compensation and reimbursement (extra day of car rental, extra hotel night etc)?
Also, if I ask for an earlier flight on the same day (via FCO) meaning I would have to leave 5 hours earlier of my cancelled flight, will I still be eligible for these compensations?
