Kosher Cibo has been in T4 and T6 for a while now. It is run by the gentleman who used to run a dairy restaurant in the Five Towns. Yummy has been in the city for a while as well but mostly in Office buildings. Nice to see them in Penn station but their food is ehhh.

I will have about four hours to wait at JFK before I fly out of Terminal 3. Are any of the store in other terminals on the land-side of security? I don't want to buy a refundable ticket just to get to a sandwich.
With 4 hours to spare, you can easily take the train into Manhattan. Airtrain to Jamaica, LIRR to Penn Station, walk to Abigael's (Bway and 38th Street, IIRC), eat & return. 1 hour each way, 1 hour to eat.

Much easier to just take a cab to Cedarhurst (or train via Jamaica).

but probabaly alot more $$ since Cedarhurst is in Nassau County I believe its considered Out of Town = extra fare zone and not via the Meter. Getting off in Rockaway is too far of a walk

The 5 towns on Central ave has way better food then Manhattan and it is only 15 minute cab ride..

While Cedarhurst is indeed in Nassau County (Long Island), the cab only charges more once you enter nassau county.
But I'd recommend a local car service instead -- such as Town Taxi -- 516-239-5151. I think they charge $25 each way.

The closest and the least expensive in terms of transportation is to go to Main Street in Kew Gardens Hills where there is a myriad of restaurants. Take the Air Train to Jamaica and then get out and walk 2 blocks and take the Q 44 bus. Get off the bus at 73 Avenue ( you will have passed one restaurant already) and walk in the direction the bus was going. There are a number of restaurants=-on the other side of the street. If you want a nicer meat restaurant--Hapishah--than take the bus to Union Turnpike ( before 73rd) and get off. walk to the corner, cross the street and turn right heading East on Union Turnpike. The restaurant is 1.5 blocks down. B'tava'von.
