Hertz - Is it true that

if I drop a car off at LHR and am in danger of missing a flight I can just park at departures, ring hertz and they will collect the car from there for an additional fee?
If so, whats the fee and where do I leave the keys?
Is this the case at any other airport?

Someone at work told me this (we have a corporate agreement) but cant find any information...

I doubt it. I don't think Hertz could offer that service even if they wanted to due to security restrictions.

Hi

Hertz (and other major competitors) will not permit anyone to leave one of it's hire vehicles in any of the car parks next to the terminals.
If this happens a £100 fee will be added to your rental as well as the parking charges. (This could aslo build up to a considerable amount considering it would most likely be left for sometime)
The charge above is applied by most major car rental companies at LHR after a general consultation with each other.
