Hertz - How Long After Signing #1: "Customer not registerd for gold service at this location"

I've just made a booking using my Hertz #1 Gold account but haven't yet faxed off my signed acceptance for the conditions.
This was mentioned on the confirmation page "Customer not registerd for gold service at this location".

I plan to fax my signed acceptance tomorrow (6 days before the rental begins). Will I then be recognised automatically or will I have to contact the reservation office or do I in fact need to cancel and rebook?

You usually need to complete one rental before you are eligible for Gold service.

Your first rental after becoming gold will need to be at the counter so they can verify your license. After that you can skip the counter.
