I will be taking a vacation to Bora Bora in February, 2010. I am thinking of splitting time between IC Thalasso and Hilton NUI. This is my plan, feedback appreciated. I have 5 nights in Bora Bora, but enough HH points for 3 nights (am going to be Gold by this point next year). I am going to use my HH points for 3 nights, then transfer over to the IC for 2 nights paid (I am an Ambassador) for an OWB.
Does this seem like the best of both worlds for 5 nights?
as I have not been to Hilton NUI I can only speak for IC Thalasso Spa Bora Bora - the most amazing resort I have been to. It is purely for couples and not a lot more to do than just enjoy the sun/food/water but the actual place is breathtaking.
If you choose to head to IC Bora, ensure your points will allow you to book an OWB. The majority of the rooms are over water but a few are not, and it would not be worth staying there if you had to stay in a room that was not over the water.
There is a lot of information in the Hilton and IC/Priority Club forums under Miles and Points for these two hotels. Might want to check that out.
But you can't go wrong with either hotel, both are beautiful.
