Searched "hotel"+"kids" -- Nada.

What is the best Las Vegas hotel for kids? 2 x 15, 2 x 11, 2 x 8 (no, we don't have three sets of twins -- this is two families ;)

Thanks!

How about two two-bedroom suites at someplace like the Residence Inn? (There are several RI locations in Vegas).

This provides a bedroom for each set of parents, and a pair of bedrooms in which to house the kids. A pool, plenty of televisions throughout the suites (the teens might not want to watch what the 8 year olds want to see), kitchens for snacks and cold beverages, free hot breakfast, free interent, etc...

More details:

Visit is in early August (I know, Sun-Sun-Sun City, not Sin City) and we will try to be there during the week, not weekend. It looks like $125 - $150 per room would get us a 4* pretty easily, no?

Non-NonRev -- most other places we would be looking at a Residence Inn, but here we're looking for something more...Las Vegas.

KingAlien -- thanks for the thread.

Any other recommendations will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Thanks to "The Consolidated Venetian Thread" on this board, I found an offer at the Venetian:

Standard Suite @ $149 / night with a few amenities thrown in:

One American breakfast for two from In-Suite Dining
20% off Fine Dining at Valentino or The Grill at Valentino
Two Canyon Ranch SpaClubŪ Passports per stay (includes access to all workout facilities and classes)
10% off Canyon Ranch SpaClubŪ treatments
$25 Slot Credit Per Stay

Would you consider this offer good? bad? indifferent?

And how's the Venetian with / for kids?

Thanks!

you could do 2 rooms at venetian. (theyre not suites.)

you could also do 2 rooms at four seasons. $186/nt after 3rd nt free. weekends same price. it has access to mandalay bay. booking with FS preferred partner agent gets amenities.

if youre looking at 3 rooms, you might consider trump for space. 2 suites + studio total $467/nt.

Venetian would be a good choice. Two rooms with two beds each (Bella Suite) will be sufficient for each family assuming five in each room. However, it's not going to be much fun for the kids as there is nothing much for them to do other than the pool at Venetian. In the surrounding area the only thing kids-friendly would be the Fashion Show mall at the northwest corner of the strip from the hotel.

Since you want something more Vegas I suggest you look at either Monte Carlo, New York New York, Mandalay Bay or MGM. You'll likely get great deals at Monte Carlo or NYNY, a moderate deal at MGM and at a slightly higher cost (compared to the other properties just mentioned) Mandalay Bay. Monte Carlo, NYNY and MGM are near the Showcase Theaters, Gameworks, M&M and Coca Cola stores, etc. which may offer opportunities to keep the kids busy.

For Mandalay Bay, the wave pool is what the kids will be most interested in. Some more info here:

<blushing> Glad to be of help.

As for cheapovegas, I did check out some of what they had for a few properties. Pretty much their comments are accurate, even though may be a bit generalized. Some inconsistencies would be them listing $5-10 craps at Venetian. There are $10 but I have never seen $5 (not saying it can't happen though). Mirage Cravings Buffet was considered an expensive buffet but Wynn's buffet only description of some food items were given without mentioning the price which is one of the highest in Vegas. Room descriptions seems to be accurate. Info on poker room at Venetian was outdated, since have expanded to more than 39 tables.

Room reservations seems to move you to another site as the booking engine. Room rates are about par for everywhere else so make sure you read the T&Cs before booking any reservations as I suspect the rates carries penalties for cancellation.
