Qatar Airways Privilege Club - Upgrade to Business Class on the day

I am due to fly to Maldives from LHR with Qatar airways and we have booked economy tickets. Does anyone know if it is possible to pay to upgrade to business class if the seats are available on check in - and if so, how much would this cost roughly?

We are privilage club members, but have not earned miles to upgrade that way.

Yes, it's possible. I did it in January for my flight from LHR to Colombo. I paid around £800 one-way. You just have to go to the ticket desk beside the check-in counters.
