There will be four of us going to Las Vegas during late July. We will likely stay at a timeshare (perhaps one of them on the strip).

One of our party uses a cane to walk. If we want to walk up and down the strip, and in and our of the hotel complexes and malls, she will not be able to do it (she does not for everyday activities have a wheelchair).

I believe her mobility would be increased if we could rent a wheelchair. Where can we do so?

Have you tried calling durable medical supply companies in Las Vegas? They usually rent medical equipment. Try a search for "Durable medical equiment las vegas," you'll get a lot of hits. You might also ask the moderators to move this question to the disability travel forum. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/disability-travel-224/

Try Universal Mobility (http://www.lvscooter.com), 800-852-3006, their power chairs are available for rent at the bell desk of nearly every LV hotel.

•Should you need the use of an electric scooter during your stay, you'll find most of the major Strip casinos and many of those downtown, including the Four Queens, Golden Nugget, and Plaza, have scooters available on the premises; others, like the Fremont, will have one specially delivered for you. Either way, they're all actually supplied by outside companies and the rates seem to be the same everywhere. For a one-day only rental, it's $40 and on a sliding scale thereafter, depending on the number of days you wish to rent for: Two days is $70, three is $90, and five to seven days runs $120 or $125.
