Hi,
I am travelling to MEX airport arriving very early in the morning into T1 International Arrivals. I have a 7 hour stopover before catching an internal flight and wanted to use the airport lounges for at least some of the time.

I am guessing that the international airport lounges are probably 'better' then national airport lounges - is this a fair guess?

Mexicana Elite have airport lounges in both terminals - so my question is...

Can I actually use their lounge upon arrival in International Arrivals (ie is it in an accessible location from arrivals) or would I need to go through customs and passport control and use the National airport lounge airside?

I'm travelling with my young daughter so wanted the most comfortable option.

Thanks for any advice you can offer

HI,

If you are arriving from outside Mexico, you will need to go through immigration before you can get to your next flight. Once you do, then you will be back in the main terminal. If you plan on completely stepping out of the security area, the only lounge outside of security I am aware of is the AMEX CENTURION lounge to the left of security.

The Mexicana lounges inside the secure area are actually quite nice, better than AM, AA or CO. There are also Amex Centurion lounges inside.
