Turkish Airlines Miles&Smiles - Is TK booking engine daft?

Or am I missing something?

I am trying to book a trip from ADB to OSL. TK routes this by IST, and while there are plenty of morning flights ADB-IST arriving in time to connect with the flight to OSL at noon, it is impossible to book both flights on the same day on one ticket.

Am I missing something here? Is there some real reason I have to arrive in Istanbul 20 hours before departure?

You should be able to book TK 305 leaving ADB at 05:05.

But the next flight at TK 307 @07:00 is not possible for you as there is not enough time for a connection to 09:15 OSL flight. Minimum connecting time from domestic to international for Ataturk Airport is 75minutes and that connection is 70min only.

I am not sure why the earlier flight doesnt work for you tho.

By the way, only OSL flight in the summer schedule leaves IST @09:15 so I am not sure about "the flight to OSL at noon".

Sorry, you're right, the flight leaves at 09.15. I still don't understand why I can't book the 05.05 flight from Izmir on the same ticket. Oh, well. I'll go with Lufthansa instead.
