Other Hotel Programs - Since A-Club my Favorite Guest account is a disaster

I had renewed my favorite guest card shortly prior to the A-Club launch. I received a letter from Accor telling me about the new program and promising a letter with a special renewal offer once my Accor Favorite Guest card expired.
Since the launch of A-Club not one of my stays has posted. I have to wait 3 months then fax a copy of my receipt. Prior to A-Club I could just call the hotel and they would take care of it via the little machine they use to post points. Calling the hotels led them to try to post the points but they simply never show in my account.
Today I went to check my points balance and realized my Accor Favorite Guest card has expired. I never received the promised renewal offer, or any letter at all asking me to transfer to A-Club.
WTG Accor. Very disappointing.

It is still the same with aclub. Each time I have a look at this forum I think "yes, looks almost everyone is suffering the same experience".
Just back from a week in france (different hotels and some mouvango-spendings at courtepaille and total and autogrill) and wondering, where the codes go, when the actually really good looking platinum card is siwped through the machine. I already wondered, if the magnetic stripe on the back of the card contains another number than the frontside of the card believes me to tell. And I am wondering as well, why even in France such a small number of employées at hotels or mouvango-network partners know about the rules or the program itself. At one courtepaille I was told "je connais pas" ("I don't know, never heard of this"), at a hotel (lobby decorated with a lot of flyers of aclub and aclub favourite guest) I was told in french (my card shows the sofitel logo) "we have nothing to do with sofitel"? I turned to make fun out of this continuing non-performance! I told them over and over again, how their (not mine!) program works. Funny when you look in unbelieving eyes :-) Just at one little total station in almonst the middle of nowhere le patron told me "20 litres that will make 2,5 points" (yeah! and he is right!). brilliant 2,5 a club points for 20 litres of diesel :-) but if the 2,5 points will ever make to my account?
Just one question to the others: Have you even seen points on your account you should never have received (as never been to a accorhotel on a certain date) but missing your "own" points for real stays or mouvango transactions?

I've never had unexpected points post to my account.

I guess I've been lucky; I've had more success with the A-Club stays posting than I did with the old Accor Frequent Guest program.
I went online and just signed up on my own (didn't wait for them to invite me when I saw my old card was expired already) and it turns out there is a place online for you to put in your old Accor Frequent Guest card number as well and eventually they transferred the points into the new A-Club account.
I wondered about the Mouvango points at places like Total and Courtepaille though; seems like more bother than it's worth.

I've had all my stays post. But at check out I always look them in the eye and make sure they know to push the right buttons to make sure the stay posts.
I used to have to do the same with SPG and IHG. Accor is a few years behind but all the chains went through this stage.

A Club, I have to say I am sorry. Not one week gone and - just for one still missing - all other spendings during my last stay in France can been seen on my A-Club account. Yes, they seem to have improved since january. Mouvango spendings (Total, Courtepaille, Autogrill) are, by the way, shown as "Account Regularization" and do NOT count as prolonging the one year points validation deadline ("spend at least one night in 12 months at one of our hotels or your points will be gone").

Well 6 weeks AFTER my card expired I got a letter from A-Club inviting me to renew my membership. The "special offer" was the same as the general public: 220 euros. Thats up from the 130 euros I paid for Accor Favorite Guest. Oh and btw. I had ALREADY renewed 3 weeks before they sent me the letter. Sigh

Why should one pay 220 EUR for a club card as you get all other's programs for free?
Kinda duper! The main promise: voucherssssssssssss.:td:
