We stayed there this May when we had our BBQ trip to Kansas city. Paid USD 96 incl tax. We thought that was not a bad deal for a CP but we were wrong. The PLT upgrade was declined by front desk manager saying: we don't have suite available tonight. But I tried to book online after 30 mins and still able to do so even for 3 rooms!! The hotel was not that full. The noise from the pool was very loud (3-5 kids can make enought noise but I dont blame them; that is the bug from hotel design) and you can smell the pool in your room.
It was a Radission and just "renovated" to be a CP. I think they are not yet used to PC rules. Yes, there are some new stuffs in the room but you still can feel the age.
If you are not a fan to go with SleepNumber bed, I think there are lots of better choices in IHG chain when you visit Kansas city next time.
