Hertz - pickup times Q

I have a flight into DEN arriving at about 4pm. I will probably standby for the 12PM arrival or even the 9AM arrival. If I make my reservation at 10AM, but somehow can't standby and take my original flight, will I have any problems or penalties with the rental?

Depends on how long the rental is for, what your return time is, etc. These variables will change your length of rental time and it may or may not impact your rate.

Well it will be for 1 day. My flight the next day is about 1130, so I can do till 10am - 24hrs...

No matter what you tell them, I would call the 800 number as soon as you have a boarding pass and let them know if you are going to be earlier or later if that's the case, just in case they need to find you a car.
I've never had a problem, but I have never showed up a lot where cars were very tight and in short supply.

You shouldn't have a problem in this scenario with differences in costs.
