I was supposed to fly Man/Auh/Bkk on the 19th- 20th May. The flight was cancelled due to technical problems and was put on an ek flight about the same time. Should i get my Etihad airmiles? The airline doesnt seem to think i should as i didnt travel with them. I think i should as it was there problem.
Anyone had a similar problem and what was the result.

Certainly with most carriers in the event that a flight is cancelled they will credit you with the appropriate mileage. I would keep after them. I had a problem with them once where I became silver on a SYD/AUH flight and they did not want to credit the silver bonus for AUH/LHR. They did eventually so keep after them

Gee I don't think that's fair Bracken. You would have flown Etihad if it wasn't for their technical problem so in my opinion they should honor the miles. I have booked a trip on Etihad and joined their program so they better honor my miles...good luck with it and be like a dog with a bone, don't give it up :-)
