Las Vegas - Parlour Suite - Wynn vs. Encore question?

I have stayed at Wynn suites many times and love the Parlour and Salon Suites. The price is the same at both Wynn and Encore ($600 less $75.00 resort credit per day). Does anyone have any opinion as to the differences between both hotel's Parlour Suites? I like the separate Tower entrance and private pool at Wynn so I am bias towards that selection unless the Parlour Suite at Encore exceeds that at Wynn. I love the Spa at Encore, but I was able to use it when I stayed at Wynn two months ago so that won't be the decisive tie breaker!
Any info would be appreciated.

encore tower has access to wynn tower pools.
encore tower is half the size, so even more private checkin/etc.
IIRC parlor at encore is 1BR, while wynn's is jr suite.

Thanks! The Wynn parlour suite has a separate room for living room so not really a junior suite. However, the Encore Parlour is 2000 sq feet and the Wynn is around 1840 sq feet so yes it is bigger. At Encore, The bar is in the living room, there is a massage room and larger TV's. I booked the Encore. Hope I made the right decision!
BTW, the Spa at Encore is amazing! The decor is outrageous and blows away the Wynn spa. It is not even a close call!

I think you might be confusing those numbers with a Salon perhaps? If I recall correctly (too lazy to check), Wynn Parlor is 1200 square feet, Encore 1500.
In any case, I'm only going to make this decision more difficult for you because while I agree with all of what Kage said, Encore Parlors do have a few drawbacks.
First, they only face north strip which aside from the behemoth that is Fontainebleau, provides hardly any view at all, especially at night. Second, their decor is not upgraded at all from standard rooms offerings. That is to say, the design and fixtures aren't "ghetto" by any means, but if you compare an Encore Parlor to an Encore Salon, the Salon blows the Parlor out of the water in terms of quality.
That said, I love the privacy of Encore's Tower Suites. It's even much less crowded than Wynn's which is already saying a lot.

You are correct about the dimensions. I confused the salon suite size!
What are the chances of getting a salon suite upgrade at the time of check in? Do they charge less at that time? Will a tip work? I now feel like I want the salon suite after your review!

Assuming that you're reserving the Encore Parlor via Centurion FHR, the Salon upgrade should be complimentary based on availability. With only 47 Salons, though, that could be a little tough at busier times.
If you don't go through FHR, you can certainly upgrade for much less than published rate. I had a friend that was offered an Encore Salon for $150 per night above the standard Tower Suite he was already in.

what kind of common areas / pools / etc are there at spa?
were treatments ok or really good?
my bad re calling wynn parlor jr suite. thought there was a difference between wynn and encore.
MikeE, how would you compare views of encore tower accommodations? / link if youve done so already.

Generally, all south facing (even numbered) rooms have excellent views, but the closer you are to the west side of the building, the less the view is blocked from the Wynn tower and the further down the strip you can see. As a result, Tower Suites rooms facing south offer some of the most phenomenal panoramas in the city. North facing rooms (whether in the Tower suites or not) are just okay.

The spa at Encore was amazing. From a design point of view, I have never seen anything so elaborate. The locker room was very rich. The lockers are covered with snake skin! They have these very cool public showers in the jacuzzi area that have a waterfall of water rather than a standard shower! They also have a few showers that have jets from every possible direction. The waiting area before you get your treatment has day beds and lots of realzxing and warm brown draperies. Once you leave to go to the treatment rooms, you feel like you are walking thru a buddhist paradise! The treatments I had were done very well. I had a female the first time and a male the second time. Both were equally great. They have the creme de la creme staff working there.
BTW, I just booked with my Centurion Travel Service through FHR a Parlor suite for $540 for the first two nights and then $495 for the last night (Monday-Thursday). I got a late check out at 4pm, breakfast for 2 each day up to $40 each day, one complimentary lunch worth $100 and hopefully an upgrade to the Salon Suite^^^
The regular rate is $600 per night with a $75 per night resort credit with no possibility (besides asking or begging) for an upgrade. I normally get the upgrade when I book with Amex FHR.
