Other Car Rental Programs/Partners (ie. Alamo, Enterprise, Sixt) - alamo; weekly rental the same cost after first week?
1. If i reserve for one week at $200 and keep the car for another week or 2 without returning, will my weekly rate still be $200 or will it be something else.
2. If I rent one car for a few weeks, is there a way to apply weekly coupon for every week of reservation?
Will national write the rate for additional days on the contract. Is it typically the same or higher than the rate during the reserved rental.

1) Highly likely that "something else", whether it be a different rate, car or car class, if you are unable to commit in advance.
2) You would need to make a series of 1 week reservations. But, you may find that the 1 week rates are higher than the 2 (or 3) week rates and thus negate the coupon discount that you were hoping to receive.

An interesting exercise is to select a date and then do a price check on a 7, 14, 21, 28, 30, 31 and 32 day booking, from that date. Then play with one, two and three week combinations, in the time frame.

If you just keep it an extra week or two, without prior notice, the rate is quite likely to be "something else", something not in your favor.

 The OP's question was w/r/t keeping the car already rented, so how could that "something else" be another car or class?

I am cautioning that without a commitment from the OP, the rental agency is free to rent the particular car to someone else.
If the OP has overcome this obstacle, I agree with your interpretation of the question.
If the OP hasn't, he may get a different car in the same class. Or, if the particular car was the last available in the class, a different class will be required.

Of course it is. That's one reason the rate will be "something else" if the OP doesn't return the car for an extra week or two.

The OP did not ask if the same car could be rented upon return. The OP asked if the car could be kept an extra week or two at the original weekly rate without returning.
So again I ask, how will the OP receive another car or class if the first car is not returned?
If the OP has overcome this obstacle, I agree with your interpretation of the question.
Huh? What other intrepretation can be given to without returning?

I've rented from other companies, e.g. enterprise and usually they'll note on the contract the rate for additional days. etc I've also had the situation with enterprise where the weekly rate remains the same if I keep it for longer than one week.

Sorry if I wan't clear in my earlier post when I stated that the rate would be "something else", and that it would probably not be in your favor. Ime the rate for keeping the car for an additional period is indeed stated and it is usually higher than the original rate.
