Turkish Airlines Miles&Smiles - First time on TK

Hello People,

Flying from KHI-IST-ORD and back on 12th June with a three-day stopover in Istanbul with wife and sis. It's our first time on TK so didn't know what to expect. Read many reviews online, sort of mixed but mainly good. However, we still have some concerns which would be great if someone can address them:

What aircraft is the IST-ORD leg on? The flight is on 15th June. It would be impossible to pass the 12-hour flight with PTVs. Any idea?

What to do with the miles we will earn on this trip? We have been flying EK all along and are Skywards members. Any way we can get these miles on our Skywards account? Or even AA account?

Any other suggestions would be appreciated (for the flight or for the stay in Istanbul)

I have never flown TK in my life and just came here to look for help myself, but I think I can answer some of your questions:

The flight is scheduled to be on an A343.

It would be impossible to pass the 12-hour flight with PTVs. Any idea?

Not sure what the question is. If you want suggestions on what to do on a plane, I'd say you take a book. I recommend a book called "This Thing of Darkness" by Harry Thompson. A book based on the voyage of the HMS Beagle and the work of Charles Darwin.

Unfortunately neither AA nor EK miles for this flight. TK is a member of Star Alliance so I suggest you join one of their programs. I think the best for you will be the UA program.
