I have an insurance replacement rental. I'd like to add LDW now (a few days after the contract started). is that doable? Not taken LDW in a long while.

You''l have to go back to the location you rented from so they can re inspect the car and then they should be able to add it on for you. They wont do it over the phone for obvious reasons.

They will be able to add it at any location but you must visit them in person. For future reference for others -- you can only add/remove optional services on replacement rentals.

For all other rentals the only way to add/remove is by closing your contract and starting a new one which can increase your rate and you will need to be return to the location you rented from (or at least within the same city) otherwise it will also consider your rental to be a one-way.

A new program was developed for replacement rentals so that is why it is easier to add/remove for those rentals only. If you are unsure whether or not you were setup as a "replacement" then check your contract. If it begins with a "H" then you are replacement. It doesn't have to be insurance to be replacement. You could be self-paying for a rental while your car is being repaired and usually you will be put into the replacement system.
