Budget Travel - Cheaper Flights in Africa?

Trying to get from JNB to DAR in July and can't find anything less than like $700. ANy thoughts? Some of the airlines there don't have websites which makes it difficult. Does anybody have a good TA?

$700 sounds pretty reasonable to me for a trans-con Africa flight.

You might be able to get an African Airpass from South African Airways which could end up a bit less than $700. You will probably need to have an inter-continental ticket on SAA or other *Alliance carrier into Africa to be eligible to purchase this.

JNB-DAR isn't exactly a trans-con flight. I can't do an AirPass because using my Alaska miles to get an Air France ticket into the region. I'll try cheapoair.com. Also, looks like I can use my miles to get one ticket in Africa. Don't support anybody else wants to loan me 45k miles for another ticket, eh? :P

cheapoair.com doesn't do flights from JNB-DAR :(

terminala.com has quite a few cheap flights ... eg $370 for one-way JNB-DAR on 21 July on SAA.
