Australia, New Zealand & the South Pacific - Kimberley (WA) cruises

Has anyone on FT done any of the cruises on Australia's Northwest coastline? I was thinking of doing a 6-night (Broomer - Hunter River) cruise and was astounded by the cost - both the basic cost as well as the supplementary helicopter flights. Are these worth it?

Neither fishing nor diving floats my boat, unfortunately...

Not done the cruise but drove from NT to WA three years ago - a ten hour trip each way - just to do the Kimberley. It is a unique place and the helicopter flight is an absolute must, if you get there, to be able to appreciate the scale and beauty of one of Australia's hidden gems.
