First off im not trying to have someone find me a cheaper flight, just gauging if this is a good price...
Im going to Europe in June and have been going mad trying to find the best deal. This is my plan-
fly out of orlando into london
travel to madrid and fly out of madrid back to orlando
Ive seen tickets around 800 and sometimes get them around 720 to 750, but some of them have LONG layovers.
My mom, who is from europe, thinks I can do cheaper. My coworker who used to work for Virgin says I can do cheaper, she gave me some websites but they suck balls.
Do you guys think ill get any cheaper than 720 or I am pissing into the wind? Thanks

What you propose is 'open jaw' ie, you fly into one European airport and out from another. This restricts your travel choices. Also watch for the start of European school holidays in late-June which hike demand. Maybe try to get returns Orlando-London-Orlando, low cost London-Madrid-London as an alternative?
Disadvantage is two journeys, no guarantee of bag transfer, maybe change of airports in London.
Look at these sites for flight combinations:

However, to answer your original question a 'fair price' is what you are prepared to pay measured against the journey time and hassle:p

I think your mom has unrealistic expectations. I'm doing a study abroad program this summer in Paris/Venice for art history and thus in discussion was subjected to 50+ people's airfares for an open jaw to Europe with most of them starting from Tampa.
For TPA-CDG then VCE-TPA the low end was $700 on some pretty crummy airlines, going price for most right around $1000.
Also, check Tampa (the same way everyone here checked Orlando) because it's really not far between the two airports and could save you hundreds of dollars.

Have you checked on more sites other than the usual sites? I would say check Kayak, cheapoair, cheaptickets?
But I also have to agree, from Orlando to Spain, you're not gonna get anything under $700.
