Hertz - Hertz waiving fees for underage drivers promotion

Found the following on Hertz Website, where they are having a promotion waiving the underage driver fee for drivers aged 21-25. I don't know if they have jacked up the rates and if this is a true savings, but for those of you in that age group might take a look at this.

If it is for real, kudos to Hertz for doing this, as way back in the dark ages when I was in that age group National was the only company who would even rent to me, they were the only rental company that would rent to drivers under 21. This is one of the reasons I am still loyal to them to this day. They took a little chance on me when I was younger and I have given them a LOT of business over the years.

With this special would you have access to above full-size class cars as well??

On the link it says:

Offer available on all car classes excluding Prestige Collection vehicles, Corvettes and Shelby Mustangs.

So I would assume Premium, and SUV would be covered. Not surprised they are excluding the Prestige, and Corvette, but hey they are not charging you extra.

Are you even certain this is valid?

On the link it also (still) says "Now through January 31, 2009" and when trying to book with my #1 Club, this doesn't affect my quote. When trying to book logged off, it will show a better price but not show any hint on waiving the underage fee but only "voucher (will be applied at pick-up) $0.00"

That's weird, on my computer in the fine print section it says "valid on vehicle pickup through 9-30-09"

The underage surcharge is only waived for rentals lasting a week or longer.
