Those people at help desk are useless! No one even know what I am talking about. I have talked to 5 people already!

Basically, I am at Barcelona Airport, when I turn on my att connection software, one the available network showing is ATT preferred roaming partner, provided by Ipass.

Then I click connect and got a window popup from the software ask my login credentials, so I enter "IPASS/account name" or just "my account name". then the next line "cuurent password" is black out, I can not enter anything. the next line "new password" and then next line" confirm new password.

I can enter things on the line ask me for new password and confirm new password. then click ok, then it says authentication failed.

Since this is my first time using ATT wifi roaming, I don't even know what is the correct way looks like.

Can anyone help me, or tell me what is suppose be look like when roaming.

Thanks

It should be ipass/username which is your ATT wifi user name. You can also DL the ATT software here http://www.att.com/gen/general?pid=9182 or I could mail it to you, assuming you have a windows box.

that's the software I am using and I tried to use Ipass/username, it doesn't work because the password line is blackout, I can not enter my password.

In addition, I read the manual, it says if it's my first time, I will be asked to set a password on software, that's why I have that pop up window. but even if I enter a new password in the pop up window, it still says authentication failed.

I got this message on the pop up window "Login failed due network issues. ", but on the software itself, I got "authentication failed"

If you skip the software and just connect to the internet do you not get a gateway page with boxes for you to enter a username, password and roaming partner? That is usually a good failback when the software isn't working.

that's my first try before trying software, I can select Ipass as roaming partner, but not working.

finally, I figure out.

Since this is my first time log in using software, I have to check the box"save password for future use" in order to get in.

but still using website browser directly with Ipass as roaming partner is not working.

If you are already selecting iPass as the roaming partner on the website itself you shouldn't need IPASS/username as the format, just username (which is usually in the form username@domain for iPass accounts). Does this work?
