Has anyone here ever spent Shabbos in Singapore before? Does the Jewish Center on Waterloo St. offer meals? I'll probably be in the area in Aug. and I'd love to spend Shabbos there....
Any help or suggestions will be appreciated

Yes, the Shul does indeed provide daily breakfast, and you can get other weekday meals at the restaurant in the Community Centre. Shabbos meals are also provided. Breakfast and Shabbos meals are free of charge, but one should make an appropriate donation to the JCC.
You should have a very interesting Shabbos.... Rav Abergel is one of my favourite people anywhere.
There is also a Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf located about 50 metres from the JCC which is supervised by the Rav, for Dairy meals.
Please feel free to PM me if you need any more details. You should also visit www.singaporejews.com/hospitality/faq.htm

I don't think the shul has dinners but if you let them know in advance, they can definitely find a family who can invite you. Big sit-down kiddush after the service, funny they have the best hammim/cholent despite 100F weather... It's a beautiful shul, traditional Baghdadi style service (though admittedly it's been years I was there for shabbat).
They do provide Shabbos meals at Maghain Aboth (Waterloo Street) and they're now hosted at Awafi, the rather nice new kosher restaurant in the Jacob Ballas Community Centre next door to the shul.
The web site (http://www.monitorurl.net/jwb/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=31&Itemid=48) has the following information:
"Can I obtain Shabbat meals?
Yes. For Shabbat and Festival meals reservations, please contact the JWB office at 63365166 or by e-mail at shabbathjbc@jwb.org.sg."
BTW, I'll be there this coming Shabbos (12/13 June) if anyone wants to say hello.

A very pleasant Shabbos indeed - I always look forward to being stuck here for the weekend. Stayed at the Inter.Continental, which is about 5-6 mins walk from Maghain Aboth in Waterloo Street. I used to stay at the Carlton but the JWB (Jewish Welfare Board = the shul) doesn't have a deal with them any more, and the Interconti was less expensive. They knew all about room / lift access on Shabbos.
Shabbos lunch in the Jacob Ballas Centre (next to the shul) finishes around 1330 and Mincha is usually at (or about) 1845 but it's so damned hot and humid that walking around really isn't such a good idea. I just hit the sack and sleep off all that lovely Indian / Malaysian food we had for lunch.
Happy to provide more info if you like... Just PM or email me, or just post a reply.

Sounds Good! Did you get a chance to visit the Kosher Market at the Jacob Ballas Centre? We are travelling from Singapore to some pretty remote places and we are hoping to stock up on food there....

Yes, was there just now. They have quite a good selection of dry goods and wine, but I'm not sure whether that's what you need. You can email them (contact info on the web site) and see if they have what you want, or whether they can get it for your August trip.

Was there anything there in terms of Bread or Meat?

They bake their own bread and you can order it with a couple of days notice (plus some stuff available on demand). Frozen meat (Australian) available and local chicken.
