Qatar Airways Privilege Club - Can I avoid paying adult prices for an infant? (Business class special MAN/LHR->MLE)

Hi, I'm looking to book one of the special online fares from Manchester or Heathrow to Male via Doha in September, but I'm having problems with the infant fare.

The special fare is £1000 + £188 taxes per adult for fully restricted business class, but the online system is charging the infant at £1000 + £26 taxes. This seems very high given that the infant fare on a semi-restricted ticket is only £500 and the restricted infant fare through the Qatar telephone booking centre is about £416 (although their restricted adult fare is £2000+.)

I asked it was possible to book the two adults online at the special price and then add the infant on later, but Qatar have refused this, so I wonder if any of you might have experienced and overcome a similar problem in the past? Any ideas?

£3400 is still a very good price for the three of us to travel business class to the Maldives from the UK, but it is a little galling to pay an adult fare for the infant when he won't get his own seat.

Hi, it was just the cheapest restricted fare that was displayed on the booking system - select the route and +/- 3 days, and the matrix should show some of the specials.

In the end, we booked with Kuoni as they had a 2-for-1 offer on Qatar business class (£2200 ea), and much more reasonable infant prices (~£500), plus some very good hotel offers. I understand that this 2-for-1 offer is only running until the end of May.

Thanks.
