Don't want to disappoint you, but that list is considered pretty short :D
We've had lists like this in the past, and you'd probably be considered a light traveler with that kind of kit ;)

After seeing the lists in the past I was thinking the same thing. GUY999 may want to focus on taking the lite packing crown if he can remove a few items!^

wow I did a search and couldn't find anything, but I am leaving out my digital slr and tripod and my 2nd laptop, although it looks like my wife is taking that, and I'm going to be on the train every other day, so this stuff all has to be easily packable.

DoCoMo charger
Nikon P5000 camera
extra battery
Sennheiser PCX250 noise reduction headphones (sometimes Bose QC2)

Most of the adapters and cables go into a travel pouch. So never had a problem leaving sometime behind.

It's roughly what I'd take, too (swap in/out a few items or different brands). Not proud of it; I'd love to travel with less.
But a quick question: I have one of those Lenovo X60T tablets (with the high-res screen... love it). But it has a built-in SD card reader and a PC card slot, so I am not what this is about:
10. AFT PROExpress-7 ExpressCard Reader. allows me to read sd,sdhc, memory stick via my tablet.
ExpressCard?

Some Thinkpads are equipped with a smart card reader instead of flash card reader. I have one of those ExpressCard adapter to read flash cards too.

Unless the iPhone is unlocked, you can't do use multiple SIMs with it.

Quite true, however since this upcoming trip is to actually go back home to SE Asia, I've decided to take a few off and just place it (as I posted earlier) in my gallery.
What I'm going to actually shed are the N93i, BB Pearl, and Sony Ericsonn S500i; since I have the N96, BB Bold, N97 and still awaiting the Sony Ericsonn Idou to preorder it.

I don't know why, but I don't really like the i-Phone.. if my experiences with my i-Pod touch told me something is that it's hard for my big fingers to do anything with it.

I have a x60t tablet too, but i don't love the screen, i have a sony laptop with a prettier screen plus i must be old but the screens on tablets are so small.
also that expresscard thing reads 7 different types of card, my tablet will just read sd cards... but i want to read everything.

i love the idea of proper headphones, but i usually only wear them on the flights so it kinda sucks carrying them for 2 weeks just for the flights.

It is indeed a nice list, but as scottc noted in post #2, it is pretty short compared to some of the lists we have had in the past. I dont' want to do a "whose list is bigger" thing, but I know some of my int'l travel lists have been easilly twice this long and I probably wouldn't consider services like boingo in there, otherwise it would be three times as long. I think a neat post/query would be, HOW DOES ONE BEST CARRY ALL THIS STUFF?
guy999
May 20, 09, 2:19 pm
i use a little rick steves packing pod, it holds all the of the cables, but i'm thinking about getting 2 different or 3 different little bags because then i have to search for everything and then i use twisty ties to loop all of the cables.
