Just curious whether Star Golds travelling on SK from CPH in Y are allowed to use Fast Track/is a published benefit?

Not that the normal security has ever taken me more than 5 minutes, but it does not hurt to know :)

CPH security , even "slow" track, must be one of the best I've gone through.

All passengers travelling in Economy Extra with SAS from CPH can use Fast Track

Perhaps I should be clear: By Y I mean economy. Is Y considered E+ in SK lingo?

My experience says Y, B and S are classes for Econony Extra.

Yes.

SK Y = Economy Extra

.....however, that should mean that you're not able to use Fast Track

Unfortunately, SAS is one of very few Star Carriers that don't offer this benefit to all Star Golds. Only SAS Star Gold gets to use the fast track when traveling in Economy.

When the OP says Y, he is not talking about booking classes. For everyone (except SK and LH that strangely enough uses M) Y cabin means Economy.

Not sure if this is going to help, but today I used Fast Track at CPH as BMI Gold with OV operated and SK coded flight booked to B class (I stressed that it was sold as SK flight and lanedragon backed off after she intitally had refused entry)

About a month ago I asked LHrelate (a Lufthansa representative on the M&M-forum) a question regarding the Fast Track policy in Scandinavia. My question was:

There's been a lot of debate on the SAS EuroBonus forum regarding the policy at the Fast Track security at OSL/ARN/CPH (only allowing SK EBGs who fly on SK-metal, or SK C-pax), but last week there were new banners by the Fast Track at ARN with Lufthansa and Austrian logos. Is this only for SEN/HONs on LH-metal, or is it a general opening for *A Gold-pax flying on LH-metal? Will we see the same at OSL and CPH?

I don't know why the existing policy is the way it is, or who is to blame, but I find it very strange that SEN/HONs are being denied access to Fast Track in Scandinavia (regardless of metal - unless C-ticket on SK), whereas EBGs are granted LH Fast Track throughout Germany (regardless of *A-metal).

Is this stupid policy about to change? It would definitely be an advantage for Lufthansa if they offered Fast Track in Scandinavia for all *A Gold-pax.

I got the following reply:

Hi all,

Here is some input from ARN:

The Fast Track Product was orignally an SK product, between SK and the airport operator LFV.

Since we had quite a few complaints of HONs and SENs and we are codesharing with SAS we decided join the Fast Track.

It is a contract between airlines and the airport, which is very expansive, nothing to do with star alliance. Currently SK, LH and OS are included:
LX have just decided not to join.

ARN:
Apart from SK and OS:

These are allowed through:

LH HON, ALLWAYS (All flights, all airlines, all destinations, all classes)

LH SEN, if on SK and LH to Germany

ALL LH C-Class on LH and SK

and from OSL:

Currently there are only passengers on SK operated flights allowed to use the fast track in OSL as it is an SK (not an airport) product. That's exactly what creates the confusion and the passengers do not understand (that it is airline related).
We are working on an STAR orientated solution together with SK that all our GOLD and F & C/Cl pax are allowed to go through fast track but currently until then passengers on LH operated flights are unfortunately not allowed to use the fast track in OSL.
