"Clearly, the entrance of a third carrier has caused market conditions to deteriorate."

Was it said by...
A) Gordon Bethune, Aloha Airlines, January 2008
B) Jonathan Ornstein, Mesa Air Group, May 2009
C) Mark Dunkerley, Hawaiian Airlines, April 2008

Being a lover of irony, I have to say Ornstein. I just hope that Republic and whoever else may be backing Mokulele have pockets deep enough to outlast Mesa/go!/Ornstein. Live by the sword . . .

Hmmm, how come everybody gets it right on the first try?

Did you read the article (http://www.starbulletin.com/business/20090512_Go_lands_in_the_red.html) or something?

No, I just had a feeling it was Ornstein. Fortuna's Wheel may not be kind to Ornstein and go! in the long run. It's rough being the odd one out in a state that can support only two and a half airlines. Of course, Mokulele has its work cut out to make it, too.

No, its just not something the other guys would say... not sure they would have been so nice :p

Wow... the nerve of YV...

Also picked up on this line...

"We're ahead of where we would be if the aircraft were just parked and not in service,"

So that is why YV was started... to utilize parked A/C

And YV is planning to further saturate the market with a sixth CRJ :td: (Maybe it can be an operational spare :p)
