Hertz - Merc GLK350 - New Model in Prestige Collection

I am playing around with possible rentals for Jan/Feb 2010 in Denver, Salt Lake, Los Angeles and Vegas.

Was about to book an Escalade and the Q7 again, but noticed that the Mercedes GLK350 or similar popped up in Denver but in no other locations! Showing as booked out for any dates that I pick!

Never seen this model in the Prestige collection before so I assume it's going to be added, looks like it may replace the Q7. I further assume it's just not fully loaded in the system yet!

Either way it is new and should come onboard! :D:D:D:D:D

Be nice for something new in the prestige fleet as nice as the Escalade and Q7 are!

I heard that sales of the GLK were below expectations, but it's kinda sad that MB is resorting to fleet sales, something they've resisted in the US for a long time.

Q7 sales have usually been pretty good as far as I know! If the GLK was sold here in Australia I would get one in an instant.

Another interesting point is that the car is listed as a Prestige Model yet it is "OR SIMILAR" So you could end up with a Q7 perhaps....

If I am paying prestige rates I want what I reserve!

Me thinks the Audi Q5 would be more analgous (comparable) to the GLK350 than the Q7? But I will stand corrected to those more knowledgable in this field.
