This was brilliant in combo with the free seats sale - I've got return flights OOL-KUL and 4 nights accomodation in kota kinabalu for $170au :)

I'm glad someone else thought this was cool! I sent the link to a FT friend who made fun of the fact A/C can be purchased in 12 hr blocks. :p I have no plans for Asia travel next year, otherwise would have looked into this further. Thought it perfect for Budget Travel forum.

What a great idea!

I am planning a trip across Malaysia from KBI to Penang and I plan to stay at every Tune Hotel they have.

Sure as heck beats hostels.

P.S. I grabbed a return to Melbourne from KUL for $240 including tax. (I'll stand at that price).
