Well its hard to believe its been six months already but here are some thoughts:

1. I always park in Economy lot ($7.00) - never Long Term lot ($11.00). More then once I have walked from baggage claim to my car parked in Economy lot by shelter 5. Shuttle buses don't seem to be timed in a consistent manner.

2. Merge lane exiting Economy lot after paying needs to be lengthed since it seems like its a short run when traffic is heavy leaving the airport pickup/drop off.

3. I wish the sidewalk leading from covered parking to Long Term lot was wider / covered.

4. Create a sidewalk to link Long Term lot and Economy lot - at this point you need to walk over the mud/grass hill and a driveway to get to Economy.

5. Restaurants are very nice (Harry and Izzy's, S.B. Chocolate Factory, etc.).

6. Shops are also good - the massage spots are full of friendly staff.

7. Luggage seems to arrive very quickly.

8. TSA is quick and fairly friendly. We've had the millimeter wave full body imaging units since the airport opened and I've been picked about 3 times. Ugh.

9. Clear is great - especially the morning crew on A terminal side.

10. Very nice to have a link behind security between terminal A and terminal B.

11. Grass is finally coming up in most of the landscaping and now that we are getting longer days the sun really brightens the entire facility. Especially like the way the building was laid out to allow lots of sunlight into the evening.

Thoughts?

Just a note. I have not used IND airport, but picked up and dropped off there and it seemed nice --- but quite a drive around when coming from the Northwest. Is there ever going to be a good road from Brownsburg to airport along the West side?

On other hand, I though old airport was still pretty good and with about 20% of what they spent on new one could have been great. But then, it's govenment money, so cost us nothing!

Also. if you are going to be parked for a long time (and have an early am flight), Comfort Suites has courtesy parking for up to 30 days if you stay there a night. As I drive almost 2 hr. to airport, this will be nice when I take my 18 day trip to West Coast.

I also park in the Economy lot and have found the shuttles inconsistent. It seems to be getting a bit better over time, but I once waited nearly 30 minutes for an economy shuttle early in the year (while 7 long-term shuttles rolled through in the meantime).

I try to avoid the lanes that feed the scanning machines; I go all the way to the far end of the A side where there isn't a scanner.

I also like the pass-through from A to B. Twice I have found a long security line on the B side and crossed the plaza to the A side where there was no wait for security.

And we will be opening new clubs in MIA, RDU, PHL and IND. We will communicate more on this as we get closer to the opening dates.
