Korean Air Skypass - How to get delta miles for Krn Air flight

Hi everyone:

I have a flight from LAX - Incheon - Shenyang, CN and back - all Korean air. I only have Delta skymiles.

There is/was no place to put my delta skymiles account into the reservation. Is there an easier process besides faxing all the seat information stuff to delta / krn air?

When I check in online - can i just input my sky miles account?

I recommend to do it at the airport. You'll have to pass through check-in counter in most cases. In fact, I've never used Korean air online checkin before. KE's USA website is not that great.

I would also be wary of your fare class since certain Korean buckets earn zero with Skymiles.

Once you hit Skyteam Elite Plus I have found that all miles and all classes count. Before that level you are correct, only certain fare classes get miles on Delta.

Earning of status and standard redeemable miles are not dependent on status. The rules vary for each carrier whose fare buckets are purchased and the carrier whose program you want the miles credited.
