Air Canada has turned in a first-quarter operating loss of C$188 million ($161 million), a significant deterioration on the loss of C$12 million for the same period last year.

Passenger revenues for the period were down by 13% to C$2 billion after a near-11% fall in traffic and a 2.3% decline in yield.

Heartbreaking.

The Canadians' immigration and "security" policies are nearly as stupid as the USA's. I have no sympathy for this industry while it refuses to stand up to governments that choose to harass citizens and visitors.

A pox on both their (our) houses. :td:

if they run a decent airline, then maybe they will turn a profit...

You know the 2 times I have flown with AC I didn't have a problem with them. In fact, AC was the first airline I wrote a complement e-mail to. The lounges in YYZ and YVR are nice, xm, good IFE.

Why do people dislike them.
